Planet Washington. We perform a family-friendly musical political comedy show for up to 55 minutes singing hilarious parodies with animated piano accompaniment. We love to customize songs and sing-alongs for any group on any topic.

Since 2006 we have performed as Planet Washington. Rachel Ray has called us “political comedy’s new kid on the block” in the tradition of the king of musical political satire Mark Russell and The Capitol Steps. I am a former Capitol Step and “recovering” Washington “insider” with a great piano accompanist and sidekick. We spoof politics, pop culture, and life in these United States. Sometimes we are joined by “celebrities” (plants) – men and women from politics, the media, or Hollywood - who join in our antics.

We have been called “Jon Stewart’s Daily Show – but with music.“

• We are topical, funny, smart, and always clean.

We have recently performed for dinners and meetings as varied as cataract and refractory surgeons and their spouses (“We are conservative and many in the group are progressive or liberal – and we all had a great time”) and 130 professional DC tour guides (“smart, funny, very clever” “students love him”). We are scheduled to perform this summer for events during both the Democratic National Convention in Denver and the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul. We are truly equal opportunity roasters!

We perform at a fraction of the cost of other leading political satirists - and pass the savings on to you the comedy consumer. Think of it as Planet Washington’s ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE (But book us now, before we’re all too famous!)
